WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE:
The Miss American Teenager Pageant is a safe place where we encourage girls (and boys) to DREAM BIG and give them a place to safely hone the skills needed to achieve those goals. Through our program we teach perseverance (it took our 2020 Teenager 3 tries to win her dream job), belief in self, the importance of giving back to one's community and to be kind to everyone because we can all use a friend and never know what someone might be going through.
We weigh our three areas of competition equally because we want a well rounded girl. You don't have to be a straight A student, best model, thinnest or most likely to be voted prettiest by your peers but instead we are looking for girls that are striving to be better than they were the previous day.
We know the swimsuit competition is often questioned in pageantry and some systems rebuff it however we have seen over the years the confidence a girl gains from this area of competition because for many who have participated after doing so they know they can conquer anything thrown at them because they had the courage to wear a swimsuit in front of a panel to be judged. That sense of accomplishment translates into confidence that is unexplainable but very real and for some life changing.
We also have many optional competitions because we want to help our girls perfect their skills and achieve her goal of becoming the next big actress, entertainer, model, influencer or something more immediate such as to win election at her school or upcoming debate competition.
Our program's required areas of competition is modeled after one of the largest pageant programs in the US and world because even though we are not affiliated with it (or any other system) we have the same key areas of competition because we want to provide a space for girls who aspire to this level of pageantry to gain experience so when they reach age eligibility they are comfortable wearing a swimsuit on stage, are graceful in evening gown, and can nail their personal interview. In addition, have perfected their costume selection well before winning the US competition and are blessed to grace the international stage.
Our hope is to assist our girls to live out their dreams because our dream is realized each day a girl joins the Miss American Teenager program and our pageant family grows!
