What kind of girls enters the pageant?
Miss American Teenager attracts girls of all vocations and backgrounds. There are softball players and gymnasts, 4-H members and student government members, aspiring models and actresses, as well as students. The one thing they all have in common is that they have an eagerness to compete.
Is there a height requirement?
There is no height requirement to enter or win. Our winners have ranged in heights.
Am I too old to win - Am I too young to win?
The judges are looking for a beautiful, well rounded, articulate girl. They are asked not to focus on age.
Do I need a performing talent?
There is no performing talent requirement so that almost every young woman could participate, if she so chooses.
DO I HAVE TO WIN A PRELIMINARY COMPETITION TO PARTICIPATE?
No, if a state does not have a state competition our national selection committee will "Appoint" an official delegate to represent the state/region.
I've never entered a pageant before; do I have a chance to win?
Yes. It truly depends on the individual. Everyone is given a fair opportunity to win!
Is there a fee to participate in the pageant?
Yes, there is a Registration and Required Delegates Fee which covers delegate participation, delegate ticket to all events, crown, sash, designated title and sponsored gifts. There are many expenses incurred for the activities and production of the competition. These fees are necessary for us to produce a memorable pageant experience for our delegates.
Is the pageant live streamed?
Yes, the Miss American Teenager Pageant will be live broadcasted through live streaming.
Is my travel, accommodation and wardrobe including in fees paid?
No, your travel; accommodations; hotel incidentals; meals; wardrobe and all costs associated to participate at the pageant is that of the contestant unless noted under the FEES section of the website as something we include.
