The You Are Enough campaign is the official peer empowerment initiative of the Miss American Teenager Pageant.
Rooted in the belief that true beauty begins with self-worth, this program encourages young people to embrace their individuality, build confidence, and celebrate who they are — just as they are.
Through interactive workshops, heartfelt discussions, and positive affirmations, You Are Enough helps students of all ages understand that perfection isn’t the goal — authenticity is. The message is simple yet powerful: you don’t have to change to be valued; you already have everything you need within you.
To empower youth across the nation to develop self-confidence, resilience, and kindness — while fostering a culture of inclusion, empathy, and self-acceptance.
Each year the Miss American Teenager national, state and local queens bring the You Are Enough message to life in their communities.
They visit schools, youth groups, and community centers, leading age-appropriate sessions that focus on:
💖 Self-Love and Confidence – Learning to see beauty in authenticity
💬 Positive Communication – Speaking kindly to oneself and others
🤝 Empathy and Inclusion – Embracing differences and celebrating diversity
🌈 Leadership and Service – Inspiring others to rise through kindness
The queens are trained with a special “You Are Enough” Teaching Manual that provides guidance for working with different age groups — from preschoolers to high schoolers. Each presentation includes an engaging activity and concludes with participants reciting and signing the You Are Enough Pledge.
The You Are Enough program has reached hundreds of students nationwide, sparking conversations about self-esteem, body image, and leadership.
By using their platforms to inspire others, Miss American Teenager queens show that pageantry is more than crowns and gowns — it’s about making a difference.
Would you like to bring the You Are Enough program to your school or youth organization?
